We are SO excited to present our new giving tools for youth ages 13-18, Inspiring Youth to Bring About Change. Our ten 2 hour sessions of leadership training includes fund-raising and site visit. We offer our toolkit for after school programs, foundations, and others focused on giving by young people ages 13-18. It has over 77 pages to guide facilitators and participants, with an additional 92 pages of worksheets.
What distinguishes these Youth Giving Circle tools is that we include social change, diversity and fund-raising, as well as time for reflection; which few, if any, tools we have found do. Get your own copy for your family, your local community group, after school or religious education group soon. Meanwhile our pilot will enable your refinements and guidance with your use and feedback. This registration will take just a minute to fill in but will enable us to support your study and use of our new exciting breakthrough.
To receive on line immediately, the 169 pages of the Youth Giving Circle Tools register today by clicking here. We will be offering training soon. Check back for upcoming events. To get a sense of our timeline, preview our Project Timeline Overview
We are eager now to move this with your help out into the world. Would you like to join in making these more Inspiring Tools for the next generation of great givers? Become a trainer, gather a group, and bring your voice and ideas to our forthcoming blog soon!
Inspired Legacies has engaged Haley Jenkins to be our spokesperson for the Youth Giving Initiative:
My name is Haley Jenkins. I started a youth giving circle with my friends when I was in elementary school. We worked on this for four years and it became a great success. I attended Westlake High School and am now getting ready to attend Texas State. I am excited to work with Inspired Legacies and I'm excited for what's to come in my future.
To Ruth Ann Harnisch whose foresight predicted that this tool would be essential for Inspired Legacies' field contribution. "Write a version of your giving plan book for kids!" said she in 2007. "We'd like to encourage the next generation to learn to collaborate and to give in transformational ways in groups, " we responded. We can't afford not to work together to change the world now. Working in teams that are diverse is amazing work, life changing and critical for our survival. The rest was finding and building on the team of experts, advisors, contractors and funders, we have grown to depend on for Inspired Legacies' excellence.
For their hard work in shaping it over this year and a half, we wish to thank Inspired Legacies' our giving circle and youth specialist authors, Karen Payne (wild-zone.net/aboutus.html) and Sondra Shaw-Hardy (philwomen.com), with final guidance from soulful curriculum specialists PassageWorks (passageworks.org). Our Youth Giving Circle committee drives the shape and direction of this project, and we are ever so grateful: Sondra Shaw-Hardy, Karen Payne, Jean Russell, Kate Persons, Tracy Gary, and Haley Jenkins. For final proofing, we extend our thanks to Carol Rust and Janet Benton. Our warm appreciation to Beth Carls and Amy Looper of KidThrive.org and oneseventeenmedia.com, for their marketing guidance, and donation of photographs. And to our web maven, here and royally dedicated from our start, Barbara Brust of Lucille Design. For design, we thank Rick Russell and Jean Russell.
Also, we thank 30 funders, with lead funding from the Lawrence Welk Family Foundation and the Gruber Foundation, who made it possible to offer the pilot of the toolkit free to the public, at this time. These leading family members and funders committed to youth and donor education, contributed over $35,000 to build, launch and market these tools and "pay it forward" to help support other families and leaders through Inspired Legacies.
