By supporting the inner lives of teachers and students, the PassageWorks model integrates cognitive and human development to create meaningful and effective classrooms. PassageWorks Institute offers courses, on-site professional development, curriculum and consulting and authors a variety of publications.

The Foundation simultaneously invests in the strategies of grantmaking, strengthening organizations, policy advocacy and movement building. We make strategic grants to organizations run by and for women who have historically been under-served. Since 1979, the Foundation has awarded $29 million in grants and capacity building assistance to over 1,200 community-based organizations in each region of the state.
