HISTORY AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

In March 2006, Inspired Legacies (originally named Resourceful Women, a California based non-profit) strategically expanded its purpose and mission and relocated its headquarters to Houston.

Highlights of our work in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector since our inception as Inspired Legacies are as follows:

• 100 workshops with nonprofit leaders, advisors and donors on topics such as capacity building, fundraising, board management, planned giving, board-staff team building, values based legacy and philanthropic planning, and strategic leadership and giving for emerging, diverse and established board members and donors
   
• 25 client families: providing guidance and focus for their giving and/or legacy plan advisor and family office referrals throughout Houston and the United States through correspondence, teleconference, family conferences and family/advisor meetings reaching 725 individual donors annually
   
• Nonprofit leader and donor surveys and interviews with over 50 Houston leaders
   
• Development of Resourceful Women Houston, a program for women with wealth in the Houston area aimed at making their giving more strategic
   
• Development of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, Houston - a program designed to offer a unique opportunity to connect locally with a growing community of young grantmakers and allies.
